When I first started researching the “supposed” health benefits of Essential Oils, I was taken aback by all the information out there. However, I am now a firm believer that having “quality” Essential Oils in your medicine cabinet is as good (if not better) than the mainstream meds you’ll find at your local drug store…
I knew I wanted Eucalyptus Oil for colds and coughs, Lavender for sleeping and/or stress, possibly Peppermint Oil so I could dabble in making my own healthy toothpaste? Hmmm, maybe even citrus oils to make the house smell like I just cleaned?? Sad but true. Please don’t judge 🙂
Quite simply though, it was overwhelming. My first major hurdle was “which” brand? There were so many available. Trial and Error? Yes. But I referred to it as Buy and Toss. I bought. I dumped. I read. I bought. I kept researching, trying new oils, and throwing them out as I went. Oil company after oil company. Frustrating to say the least.
I’m not going to diss on those popular and expensive brands I didn’t like because who cares? I merely want to share with my viewers the ONE and ONLY brand I personally would ever spend money on again. Why? Because, the brand I settled on was the ONLY brand that:
- Didn’t give me a headache
- Didn’t smell horrible when diffusing
- Didn’t hurt my throat and cause me to cough
- Didn’t cost an arm and a leg, and…
- DIDN’T CLOG MY DIFFUSER!
(I could only conclude that I’d finally found oils that weren’t jammed packed with nasties)
Soon I’ll be posting my favorite oils (my collection is growing nicely) and what I do with them. For now I’ll tell you without hesitation that my favorite essential oil company (I’m not being paid for this btw) is by far:
And my favorite ESSENTIAL OIL without a doubt is:
We diffuse Immune Strength all winter long. I believe in it so much that I keep one bottle ahead at all times. When I finish a bottle and open another, I get right online and reorder. We firmly believe Immune Strength is a super fix for aiding and preventing (or lessening) the symptoms of colds, coughs, flu etc. Well, that and Vitamin D of course 🙂
After being in Essential Oil heaven a while, I stumbled onto a website that researched Essential Oil companies by calling and actually interviewing the different oil manufacturers! Oh boy…
Her conclusion and company choice was the same as mine so that made my day. I’ve linked to her post below because if you are just now testing the waters with Essential Oils her post is what I like to refer to as Essential Oils 101. It’s probably one of the most informative articles regarding Essential Oils and the companies that manufacture them that I have ever read. This girl did some serious research.
